The jade is a beautiful transluscent green jadeite.   The Long Life symbol is imprinted on the shank of the ring.  This is from the original Ming's Honolulu store and not the current Ming's Hawaii editions.
All proper hallmarks are on the ring.
Affectionately known as the "Tiffany's of the Pacific", Ming's Honolulu open their doors in 1941 as a Chinese Antique store.  Their business model changed over the years and they became well known for their iconic jewelry.  Representing Hawaiian motifs, they used high quality materials such as ivory, which was carved and painted  into beautiful Hawaiian flowers. They went yearly to the Jade auctions in Burma and bid on giant boulders which when cracked open revealed stunning jade gemstones from which they would fashion beautiful jade jewelry.  They used pearls from Japan and gold and silver.
